Owl Watch — Privacy at First Light
Last updated: June 2025
The owl keeps watch through the night and sees everything — but tells no one. Owl Watch works the same way with your data: we observe almost nothing, and what little we might see we keep entirely to ourselves and use for nothing personal.
What the watch records
The watch records nothing personal. No watcher's name, no vigil log, no device footprint is inscribed in our books. You keep watch in complete anonymity.
Night report (server logs)
Like a night watchman's brief duty report, our servers may automatically note: browser type, device category, and an anonymised IP fragment. These notes confirm the watch post is manned. They record nothing about the individual on duty.
No informants
Owl Watch posts no advertising informants, no behavioural analytics scouts, and no third-party surveillance in the darkness. The watch is uncompromised.
The lamp trimmer (Google Fonts)
Our typefaces are trimmed by Google Fonts. Your browser's connection to Google may include your IP. Their privacy document covers what they do when that lamp is lit.
Young watchers
Owl Watch is an atmospheric but entirely gentle game for all ages. No violent content, no gambling, no age restrictions. Every young watcher is welcome on the night shift. We collect nothing from any of them.
Watch orders updated
Should our practices change, this document will be updated and redated. Continued watching after any change signals acceptance.
